Hyogi joined the Technology Integration group in 2015 as a Post Masters Research Assistant. His research interests are focused on distributed systems and storage systems. He is currently working on deploying non-volatile memory devices and technologies in large scale systems. Also, he is exploring the hardware and software techniques of active storage systems in the scientific computing.
He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at Virginia Tech. He is advised by Dr. Ali Butt in the Distributed Systems and Storage Lab . He received his Masters (2014) in Computer Science from Virginia Tech. He also earned a M.S. in Computer Engineering (2008) and B.S. in Civil Engineering (2005), both from the Hanyang University in South Korea.
